Home Fleet Senate Ships Guidelines Join!

The following "rules" are merely guidelines to carry the simmer through a safe journey
simming in PathFinder Alliance. We are not a straight-laced fleet, with hard and fast rules
that must be followed, although these are common sense guidelines.

Rule 1 At all times be considerate of your fellow simmers. They are writers just as we all are. Respect their characters.

Rule 2 Harassment of your fellow simmers in strictly forbidden. Respect them, as you would want them to respect you. No “flaming” emails or IM’s. If you have a problem with a simmer, we have a JAG office exactly for that. Follow the chain of command.

Rule 3 We have various rated simms in Pathfinder Alliance. Some are PG-13 others are adult. Make sure you are on the rated simm you prefer. Don’t complain about the excessive violence, language or adult situations if you have joined an Adult simm.

Rule 4 Refrain from excessive violence (gratuitous gore), language (the “F” word), or excessively graphic sexual content.

Rule 5 All posts, are requested to be a minimum of 150 words. More is all right by all means. Joint posts must be a minimum of 300 words to be counted as a post. Some ships count a JP as one post for each character, other ships count them as ˝. Check with your Captain.

Rule 6 All characters must be original in design. Due to copyright infringement rules, we cannot have Harry Potter, Superman, Spider-man, or any other animated character knockoffs. Star Trek characters are not to be used as ongoing characters.

Rule 7 Unless arranged with your commanding officer, your rank will be Ensign. If you have simming experience and can provide adequate evidence of your writing abilities, your rank will begin at Lt JG, again at the discretion of the Captain. Do not ask or expect higher ranking positions on your ship unless you have worked consistently.

Rule 8 To qualify for a ship of your own, you must first reach the rank of Commander. Also you will need to be in the fleet a minimum of one year with consistent posting totals and a recommendation from your Captain.

Rule 9 It is the sincere feeling of all the Admiralty of Pathfinder Alliance, that everyone is welcome to simm here. All we ask is that if you are in the Admiralty of another fleet you advise us of this. We consider holding a high rank in more than one fleet a conflict, and cannot be sanctioned.

Rule 10 Have fun! When it comes down to it, that's what simming is all about!
